6801 Stanley Rd -- Claudia and Jose Aboytes, represented by Dave Gilman, seeks to split the lot into a 0.5 acre and a 1.5 acre lot. A 5000 sq ft house would be built on the larger lot and that would legalize an existing barn that is too large and too tall. The existing house would be enlarged to 1200 sq ft to meet the D3 standards. They also seek a variance to legally establish the existing detached garage which is 5.6 ft from the lot line when 6 ft is required.

7323 S Mooresville Rd -- Redwood Apartment Neighborhoods, represented by Joe Csikos, seeks to rezone 20 acres from D-A to D-6 to allow for 99 one-story apartments.

6501 Mann Rd -- Kittle Property Group, represented by Joe Calderon, seeks to rezone 23 acres for apartments. This is a refiling of a similar (if not identical) petition that was withdrawn last year. We do not yet have any specifics

5501, 5521 & 5546 Mendenhall Rd -- A petitioner represented by Dave Gilman, seeks to rezone 12 acres from DA to I2 to build office/warehouse and mini-warehouse storage buildings.

3889 W Perry St -- Alayna & Jayden Bridgman will seek a rezoning from D5 to C3 to allow for operation of a CBD store. This was initially filed as a variance. That petition was withdrawn on July 8 with the understanding that they would file for a rezoning. That rezoning has not been filed. The site continues to operate as a CBD store illegally. A legal file is now open and a pre-trial conference has been scheduled for Mar 18.
STATUS: [ ] The Variance petition was withdrawn, but the petitioner has failed to file for a rezoning.
Various addresses 6700-8210 Camby Rd & 6600-6833 Kentucky Ave -- Sabey Data Center Properties, LLC, represented by Mindy Westrick Brown, seeks to modify commitments from 2020-CZN-834 on 131 acres to allow for the construction of a data center with increase building heights, swapping of allowed uses, changes to berm heights, changes to building sizes, locations, and number, and to allow a substation. They also seek a variance of use to allow for the data center (not permitted) on this I-2 parcel. They also seek several variances of development standards to reduce the number of required parking spaces, increase the 50-foot maximum airspace building height to 75 feet, increase the allowed outdoor storage and operations from 25% of gross floor area to 120% and 160% for each of the two proposed buildings, and to reduce the distance of outdoor storage and operations from a protected district from 500 feet minimum to 200 feet.
STATUS: [2025-CAP, CVR-856 ] The Civic Council voted to OPPOSE this petition. It will be heard by the Hearing Examiner on February 26.
7305 Kentucky Ave -- Camby Village LLC, represented by Brian Tuohy, seeks a modification of commitments. We have no details at this time. The request is to replace the duplexes allowed in the current zoning with single family homes.

3641 S Lynhurst Dr -- Crossroad Engineers, represented by Gregory Ilko, seek to rezone 3.44 acres from C7 and I4 to all I4 for heavy industrial uses, including outdoor storage and operations.
STATUS: [ 2025-ZON-095] This petition was withdrawn on October 9.
6801 Stanley Rd -- Claudia & Jose Aboytes, represented by David Gilman, are seeking to split a 2 acre residential lot into a 0.5 acre and a 1.5 acre lot. They are also seeking a variance to allow the larger lot to have only 15 feet of road frontage when 70 feet is required, and to allow the use of a septic system instead of hooking up to city sanitary sewer as required for a D3 parcel.

5338 W Edwards Ave -- Austin Young seeks a variance to allow a 6 foot privacy fence and detached shed in the second front yard of a corner lot.
STATUS: [2025-DV2-023] The Civic Council voted to SUPPORT this petition. This petition was approved by the Board of Zoning Appeals on July 8.
7515 Camby Rd -- Abigail Wojciechowski, represented by David Gilman, seeks a Variance to divide 1 6.9 acre D3 lot into three D3 lots so that two more houses can be built without connection to the public sanitary sewer (instead rely on septic systems). They also seek to plat these new lots. This petition was amended to request a waiver of the requirement to construct sidewalks and to donate right of way along Camby Rd to the City.

6225-6245 Kentucky Ave -- Joe Calderon is representing a client who seeks to rezone about 3 acres from DA to C4 so a Speedway gas station and convenience store can be constructed.
